    Dana Sorensen will lead the Blaze into the inaugural 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) season as its general manager. Sorensen joins the Blaze front office after running her own softball coaching organization, Sorensen Elite, following an outstanding playing career. She has worked with pitchers across all levels of softball, including the professional, college and high school ranks. A starting pitcher for Stanford from 2000-04, Sorensen accumulated three NFCA All-America certificates, including First-Team distinction as a sophomore and senior. The four-time NFCA All-Pacific Region performer left her mark on the Cardinal program, graduating with nearly every single-season pitching mark in school history. She compiled a 105-36 career record with a program-record 1.05 career ERA. In addition to being one of three players in Stanford history with 100 or more victories, Sorensen holds the distinction of being one of two pitchers to post 1,000 or more strikeouts after notching 1,154 strikeouts for the Cardinal. She also accrued five career no-hitters, including a pair of perfect games. The Cardinal reached the NCAA Tournament during each of Sorensen’s four seasons, including a pair of entries into the Women’s College World Series in 2001 and 2004. She was inducted into the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015, earning the honor of being one of just four softball players to be enshrined.     Alisa Goler joins the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) as the head coach of the Blaze during the inaugural 2025 season. The head coach at Western Illinois since 2020, Goler completed her fifth season with the Leathernecks in 2025. In her five years at Western Illinois, Goler has mentored nine All-Conference performers, including two First-Team picks, while boasting three NFCA All-Region selections. Utility player Payton Brown was honored as co-recipient of the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year award after leading the OVC in several statistical categories during league play, including hits, doubles, total bases, home runs and slugging percentage. Brown, who also secured Third-Team NFCA All-Midwest Region accolades, also joined infielder Ruby Tarr on the OVC’s All-Freshman Team this past spring. Prior to joining the Leathernecks, Goler spent time as an assistant coach at Penn State. The Nittany Lions showed substantial improvement in Goler’s two seasons, going from nine wins in 2018 to 24 victories in 2019. The 2019 squad also established a new program record by slugging 49 home runs. Goler joined the Penn State staff after serving as an assistant coach at Syracuse from 2016-18. She served as the program’s recruiting coordinator and hitting coach before later being elevated to the Orange’s associate head coach. The 2017 campaign saw four players earn NFCA All-Region plaudits after the team set single-season records for batting average (.307), hits (433) and on-base percentage (.388). Goler’s initial college coaching assignment came at Roosevelt University in 2014 where she was the Lakers’ hitting coach. In addition to her college coaching experience, Goler made her international coaching debut as an assistant coach for USA Softball’s Elite and U-18 teams in 2024. She will work as an assistant coach with Team USA’s squad this year at the WBSC U-15 World Cup along with coaching the United States unit at the WBSC U-18 World Cup. After a standout collegiate playing career at Georgia, Goler played seven seasons in National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). The No. 12 overall selection in the 2011 NPF Draft by the Chicago Bandits, she went on to earn the league’s 2011 Rookie of the Year award after pacing the squad with a .327 batting average, 11 home runs, 29 runs batted in and 20 walks. She also collected a pair of All-NPF certificates in her career. Goler was lauded as a three-time NFCA All-America selection at Georgia while rewriting the program record book from 2008-11.     Kara Dill embarks on her professional softball coaching career during the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) season by filling the role of associate head coach on Alisa Goler’s staff. The 10th head coach in UT Arlington softball history, Dill completed her third season as the Mavericks’ bench boss earlier this spring. Under her guidance, UT Arlington’s win total has increased each year, including a 23-win campaign in 2025. The Mavericks have also qualified for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in each of Dill’s three years at the helm. Dill led the Mavericks to the WAC Tournament quarterfinals in 2024 while mentoring Camille Corona, who earned NFCA All-Region status in addition to First-Team All-WAC plaudits after pacing the Mavericks with a .401 batting average and 31 runs scored. In Dill’s inaugural season with UT Arlington, the Mavericks fashioned a 22-30 record, including an 11-13 mark in WAC play. Freshman Marley Neises earned a spot on the All-WAC Second Team after logging a .382 batting average. Prior to leading the Mavericks, Dill served as the pitching coach at Texas A&M for six seasons. She helped the Aggies secure their 20th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance during her final season as the Texas A&M staff combined for 13 shutouts in 2022. During the 2021 campaign, the Aggies’ pitching staff registered a pair of no-hitters for the first time in nearly a decade. Texas A&M’s pitching staff showed immediate improvement during Dill’s first season, lowering its combined earned run average from 3.86 to 2.08, as the Aggies earned a berth in the 2017 NCAA Women’s College World Series. Before arriving in College Station, Dill worked as an assistant coach for the National Pro Fastpitch’s Scrap Yard Dawgs in 2016. The LaGrange, Ohio, native also guided LSU to a pair of NCAA Women’s College World Series berths in 2015 and 2016 after opening her coaching career with a Women’s College World Series appearance with Kentucky in 2014. A four-year letter winner at Kentucky from 2010-13, Dill compiled a .330 batting average with 201 total base hits and 57 stolen bases, which are tied for eighth in program history. The two-time Second-Team All-Southeastern Conference performer also claimed a spot on the NFCA All-Region Second Team in 2011 after batting .377 with 44 runs scored. An outstanding student at Kentucky who graduated with her bachelor’s degree three semesters early, Dill also earned her master’s degree at Kentucky and was named to the Frank G. Ham Society of Character, which honors Kentucky student-athletes who have shown an extraordinary commitment to academic excellence, athletic participation, personal development and career preparation while serving as a role model.     Winning has been a major part of Sue Kunkle’s career as the head softball coach at the University of Southern Indiana. She hopes to continue her winning tradition during the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League season as she serves as an assistant coach for the Blaze. Kunkle, the winningest coach in USI softball history, completed her 24th season with the Screaming Eagles in 2025. The three-time Coach of the Year honoree has fashioned a 707-513 record during her tenure while transitioning the Screaming Eagles from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I status. Under Kunkle’s leadership, Southern Indiana softball student-athletes have accounted for 18 NFCA All-America selections, 61 NFCA All-Region certificates, five conference Player of the Year awards and 90 All-Conference citations. During the 2025 campaign, the Screaming Eagles collected 13 wins against Ohio Valley Conference competition and earned a berth in the league’s postseason tournament for the third year in a row. Three student-athletes earned Second-Team All-OVC distinction, including junior Caroline Stapleton and freshmen Kylie Witthaus and Jordan Mackey. Playing in just its second NCAA Division I season, Southern Indiana logged 25 victories during the 2024 campaign while advancing to the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinals. Josie Newman garnered OVC Pitcher of the Year plaudits while anchoring a group of four All-OVC honorees. The Screaming Eagles made their Division I debut in 2023 and posted a 21-23 record, including a victory over Wisconsin-Green Bay in their season opener along with a win over Tennessee State in the OVC Tournament. Utility player Allie Goodin was selected as a co-recipient of the OVC Player of the Year award while Newman was a three-time OVC Pitcher of the Week winner. Over her 22 seasons at the helm of the Screaming Eagles at the Division II level, Kunkle posted a 628-420-1 (.599) record, including 301 victories in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. She guided the team to the 2018 NCAA Division II title in addition to a pair of GLVC Tournament titles and two regular season crowns. Kunkle’s teams surpassed the 30-win plateau 12 times in 22 seasons of Division II play, including three campaigns with 40 or more victories. The Screaming Eagles established a program record with 49 victories and won the program’s first NCAA Midwest Region crown in 2022, marking a 33-win improvement from the previous season. In addition, Kunkle’s staff was recognized as the NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year three times and claimed the NFCA National Division II Coaching Staff of the Year award after guiding the Screaming Eagles to the first national championship by any women’s team in school history in 2018.     Ryan Wondrasek joins the Blaze coaching staff in an assistant coach role for the inaugural 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) season. Wondrasek completed his third season as the Director of Player Development on Patty Gasso’s staff at Oklahoma earlier this year. In his role with the Sooners, Wondrasek oversees data, analytics and video to scout upcoming opponents while aiding with recruiting and development of the team’s catchers. Wondrasek has seen over 160 victories since starting in Norman, including a pair of NCAA National Championships as the Sooners completed a four-peat in the 2024 season. Before joining the Sooners’ staff, Wondrasek spent the 2022 season as the head softball coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State. He piloted the team to its most victories since 2017 and mentored a pair of All-Great American Conference performers. Wondrasek spent three seasons as the head softball at Seward County Community College, earning the conference’s Coach of the Year award in his first season while guiding 10 players to All-Conference recognition. An assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Omaha from 2016-18, Wondrasek oversaw the program’s offense as well as instructing the infielders and coaches. Under his leadership, seven players earned All-Summit League distinction. Wondrasek embarked on his softball coaching career at St. Gregory’s University from 2012-16, working as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. The Cavaliers compiled a 172-47 record, including an 81-25 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference, while making a pair of appearances at the NAIA Softball World Series. Wondrasek began his coaching career as a varsity assistant coach for the Norman High School baseball program from 2007-12. He oversaw instruction for the team’s catchers, infielders and base running. A pair of catchers claimed Oklahoma All-State plaudits under his tutelage. After graduating from Oklahoma in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree, Wondrasek received his master’s degree in secondary education and sports administration from East Central University in 2016.
