The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Draft is complete, and the Blaze roster has a fresh look for the 2026 season.
While the Blaze lost Alana Vawter, Carley Hoover and Korbe Otis to the Oklahoma City Spark and Cascade during the Expansion Draft, they also added new talent in the Allocation Draft portion of the evening.
The loss of three players gave the Blaze the No. 5 pick of the Allocation Draft. With their first selection, they picked up infielder Alyssa Brito.
Blaze General Manager Dana Sorensen and Head Coach Kara Dill will fill the remaining spots on their roster at the AUSL College Draft in the spring.
Here are the Blaze’s picks from the AUSL Draft.
Round 1, Pick No. 5: Alyssa Brito, Corner Infielder
Round 2, Pick No. 11: Jenna Laird, Middle Infielder
Round 3, Pick No. 17: Jala Wright, Right-handed Pitcher
Round 4, Pick No. 23: Valerie Cagle, Utility
