The Quick Story: The Talons completed a sweep of their Athletes Unlimited Softball League doubleheader against the Blaze on Saturday evening after picking up a 7-6 victory in the nightcap at Frost Stadium.
Key Moment: The Talons sprinted off to a 4-0 lead in the first inning on a pair of two-run singles by infielder Hannah Flippen and catcher Ally Shipman-Shrout. The Blaze trimmed the margin to 4-3 in the bottom of the first inning before outfielder Caroline Jacobsen slugged a two-run home run to left field in the third inning for a three-run advantage.
Better Late Than Never: The game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was postponed until Saturday afternoon due to inclement weather.

- Pitcher Montana Fouts became the first player in AUSL history to earn a win and a save in the same calendar day … After picking up the save in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, the former Alabama standout secured the victory after giving up three earned runs on four hits over 6.0 innings.
- Pitcher Megan Faraimo nailed down her first save of the campaign after sealing the victory in the seventh inning.
