Aubrey Leach is a 5-foot-4 professional softball infielder from The Woodlands, Texas. She was acquired in the 4th Round of the 2025 Inaugural Draft following a collegiate career at Tennessee.


Personal Life

Career & Education: Received her law degree from Tennessee in May 2024 and serves as the Director of Player Development at Tennessee. Chairperson of the AUSL Player Executive Committee and an athlete representative on the USA Softball Board of Directors.

Family: Grandmother played professional baseball for the Rockford Peaches. Married Zach Gartner in December 2025. Wears No. 75 in relation to the Marine Corps’ birthday.

Professional Experience


Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball, AUX & AUSL (2020–2025)

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Earned a share of 18th place with 900 leaderboard points. Compiled a .269 batting average with one home run and four RBIs.

2025 AUSL Regular Season: Ranked ninth in the AUSL with a .355 batting average. Tied for first with 15 walks and ranked second with seven doubles. Became the first player in any AU softball game to register five hits (5-for-5 vs. Bandits on July 22).

2024 Championship Season: Tallied 1,140 leaderboard points and tied for the league lead with a .373 batting average and 19 hits. Earned her first AU Pro Softball All-Defensive Team selection.

2024 AUX Season: Finished 14th with 1,040 leaderboard points, batting .395 with 17 hits.

2023 Championship Season: Posted 1,224 leaderboard points, hitting .205 with eight hits.

2023 AUX Season: Secured second place with 1,158 points, hitting .405 and tying for the league lead with 15 hits.

2022 Championship Season: Finished 12th with 1,450 points, batting .383 with 18 hits.

2020 Championship Season: Closed the inaugural season in 17th place with 1,430 points, hitting .346.


Other Professional Experience (2019–2020)

Independent: Played for Scrap Yard Fastpitch in 2019 and the This Is Us softball team in 2020.


International Experience (2022–2026)

Team USA: Led Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2022 WBSC Pan American Championships while earning Tournament MVP accolades. Won Gold at the 2023 Pan American Games and is a member of the 2026 National Team pool.

College Experience: Tennessee (2016–2019)


Career Statistics: Started 240 games, authoring a .385 career batting average with 269 hits, 77 stolen bases, and a school-record 255 runs scored and 84 walks.

Senior Year (2019): Ranked fourth in the SEC with a .411 batting average and 65 runs scored.

Junior Year (2018): Led the SEC and ranked 12th in NCAA Division I with her batting average, scoring a program-record 80 runs.

Sophomore Year (2017): Paced the SEC with 60 runs scored.

Freshman Year (2016): Batted .348 with 57 hits and 50 runs scored.


Awards & Honors

All-America: Two-time NFCA First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-America in 2018.
