Personal: Yanez is enrolled in UCLA's Business and Management of Entertainment extension program. She has one brother and one sister and is the daughter of Camille and Brian Yanez. Her cousin, Kendall Grove, is a UFC fighter, and her grandfather played Major League Baseball. Yanez's greatest athletic thrill was defeating Texas in walk-off fashion with Oregon to force the deciding game at the 2021 Austin NCAA Regional. She admires famous athletes Lisa Fernandez and Kobe Bryant. Yanez enjoys going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite baseball team is the Los Angeles Dodgers, and her favorite television shows are "New Girl" and "Vampire Diaries." She lists "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" as her favorite movie. After graduation, Yanez wants to pursue a career in the sports industry.

2023 AUX Season: Yanez earned a total of 760 leaderboard points, with 710 of those points coming from wins. This season marked her professional debut. She made eight appearances in the circle, including three starts. Yanez had a record of 0-3 with a 6.30 earned run average. She recorded 14 strikeouts over 16.2 innings pitched. Yanez made her professional debut on June 12 against Team Mulipola. In that game, she allowed two earned runs on three hits over 3.0 innings. Her season-high of six strikeouts came in 2.2 innings of relief against Team Zerkle on the same day. Yanez also had three strikeouts in 2.0 innings against Team Mulipola on June 14. In Series One, Yanez threw 2.2 innings of scoreless relief against Team Zerkle on June 15. She also gave up just one hit in 2.0 innings against Team Taylor, securing her first professional save.


Other Professional Experience: Yanez was selected No. 12 overall by the USSSA Pride in the 2023 Women's Professional Fastpitch Draft.

College Experience: Yanez began her college career at Oregon before transferring to UC Davis for two years. She then finished her career at UCLA, where she played in 30 games with 24 starts. She had a record of 16-3 with one save and nine complete games. Yanez posted a 1.99 earned run average with 115 strikeouts over 126.2 innings. Her season-high nine strikeouts came against Kentucky on February 24, 2023. She earned a win in eight consecutive outings from February 16 to March 12, 2023. In her college career she made 146 appearances in the circle with 117 starts. She had an impressive 1.67 earned run average while pitching 763.0 innings. Yanez collected 940 strikeouts, 21 shutouts, and 73 complete games during her college career. She received Second-Team All-America recognition by Softball America in 2019 and 2020. Yanez was also a two-time All-Pac-12 Conference selection, earning First-Team at Oregon in 2021 before claiming Second-Team distinction at UCLA in 2023. 


Yanez played for Oregon in the 2020 and 2021 seasons before missing the 2022 campaign due to injury. She had a 31-7 record with 16 complete games with the Ducks, including 22 victories in 2021. Yanez struck out 362 hitters over 245.0 innings at Oregon. She garnered Third-Team NFCA All-America honors in 2021 after posting a 22-6 record with a 2.11 earned run average and 268 strikeouts. Yanez matched Oregon's NCAA Tournament record with 14 strikeouts against Texas State on May 22, 2021. Yanez compiled a 40-18 record in two seasons at UC Davis with a 1.38 earned run average over 391.1 innings. She was named the Big West Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2019 after sporting a 25-7 record with a 1.03 earned run average and a career-best 273 strikeouts in 203.2 innings. She also received NFCA All-West Region First Team notice as a sophomore. During the 2019 season, she threw two no-hitters, including a perfect game against Sacramento State on March 12, 2019. She was honored as the 2018 Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year after going 15-11 with a 1.75 earned run average and 190 strikeouts.
