Taylor McQuillin is a 5-foot-8 professional softball pitcher from Mission Viejo, California. She was acquired in the 2nd Round of the 2025 Inaugural Draft following a collegiate career at Arizona.

Personal Life

Career: Promoted to associate head softball coach at Southern Utah on July 17, 2025, after piloting the Thunderbirds to the No. 3 seed in the 2025 WAC Championship.

Background: Has been legally blind in her left eye since birth. Wears No. 22 in honor of her uncle, Tim Quintanilla, who played baseball at USC.

Hobbies: Enjoys reading, working out, yoga, trying new coffee shops, puzzles, and listening to podcasts and vinyl records. Has two dogs named Fenway and Bru.

Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball, AUX & AUSL (2020–2025)

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Secured 29th place with 754 leaderboard points. Posted a 1-1 record with two saves and a 5.63 ERA over 13.2 innings.

2025 AUSL Regular Season: Tied for the AUSL lead with four saves, contributing a 3-1 record. Fashioned a 5.31 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 29.0 innings.

2024 Championship Season: Finished 23rd with 1,242 leaderboard points. Authored a 6-3 record with a 3.03 ERA and 26 strikeouts over 34.2 innings.

2024 AUX Season: Authored a fourth-place finish with 1,230 leaderboard points. Set an AU X single-season record with seven wins (7-1 record) and 36 strikeouts, posting a 3.00 ERA over 37.1 innings.

2023 Championship Season: Tied for 16th place with 1,392 leaderboard points. Posted a 3-1 record with a 2.15 ERA and 34 strikeouts.

2022 Championship Season: Accumulated 1,074 leaderboard points. Set a league record with 14 appearances, compiling a 4-3 record, one save, and 46 strikeouts.

2021 Championship Season: Compiled 962 leaderboard points, authoring a 3-3 record with a 3.92 ERA and 23 strikeouts.

2020 Championship Season: Accumulated 784 leaderboard points, posting a 1-2 record with an 8.61 ERA and 19 strikeouts.

Other Professional Experience (2019–2023)

NPF & Japan Diamond League: Selected No. 6 overall in the 2019 NPF Draft by the Cleveland Comets, compiling a 5-3 record and 2.87 ERA. Played for the Hitachi Sundivas of the Japan Diamond League in 2022 and 2023.

Team Mexico: Helped Team Mexico qualify for and competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Career Statistics: Accrued an 80-32 career record with five saves, a 1.95 ERA, and 815 strikeouts over 697.1 innings. Finished with 77 complete games and 33 shutouts.

Senior Year (2019): Earned First-Team NFCA All-America honors.

Junior Year (2018): Led NCAA Division I with 15 shutouts, becoming the first Arizona pitcher to accomplish the feat.
