Utility player Sarah Gordon has signed with the Utah Talons for the 2027 season.
Gordon started in 12 and appeared in 17 games in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) in 2026 as a Reserve Pool Player for both the Talons and Oklahoma City Spark. General manager Lisa Fernandez selected Gordon in the 2026 AUSL College Draft as a provisional pick, so while she wasn’t a full-time rostered player last year, the team had first rights to sign her.
With the Talons, Gordon appeared mostly at catcher and started four games. She was also a spark plug for the offense while the team faced injuries. The rookie had six hits in her 13 at-bats as a Talon last season with three RBIs. Overall in 2026, she batted .313 with a .843 OPS in her 38 plate appearances. ”
Gordon is from Lexington, Kentucky, and started her collegiate career at Louisville before transferring to Georgia. She was the 2023 ACC Freshman of the Year and by her senior season, led the Bulldogs with a .407 average and 17 doubles, adding 12 home runs and 45 RBIs.
