Personal: Lopez is the daughter of Reynaldo and JoAnn Lopez and one of five children in her family. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Utah in 2024. Lopez enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her family. In 2025, she began serving as a graduate assistant softball coach at the University of Arkansas, continuing her involvement in the sport while pursuing her career in coaching.
Other Professional Experience: Lopez competed for the New York Rise during the 2024 Association of Fastpitch Professionals season. She recorded a 3.23 earned run average with a 3-3 record over 30.1 innings pitched. Lopez made 11 appearances, including six starts, and tallied 22 strikeouts during the season.
College Experience: Lopez was a four-year letter winner at the University of Utah, where she compiled a 58-37 record with five saves from 2021 to 2024. Over her collegiate career, Lopez made 141 appearances, including 104 starts, and posted a 2.81 earned run average. She was a three-time All-Pac-12 Conference selection and earned NFCA Third-Team All-America honors as a junior, along with multiple First-Team All-Region selections. Lopez helped lead the Utes to their first NCAA Women’s College World Series appearance since 1994 during her senior season. That year, she became the first Utah pitcher to record 20 or more wins in back-to-back seasons since Generra Nielson in 2011–12. She compiled 42 career complete games, including five shutouts, and ranks third in school history with 582 career strikeouts. Opponents hit just .238 against her over her career. One of Lopez’s most memorable performances came on May 7, 2023, when she threw a no-hitter against Oregon, striking out seven in a 2-0 win. As a senior, she ranked second in the Pac-12 with 22 wins and 230 strikeouts, while leading the conference in starts (32) and ranking second in innings pitched and complete games. During her junior year, she led the Pac-12 with 197.2 innings pitched and finished second with 23 victories. Lopez was named the Pac-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2023 after delivering complete game wins over Washington and UCLA. She also recorded five victories in the NCAA Tournament that season, including all three wins in Regionals and both victories in the Super Regional against San Diego State. As a sophomore, Lopez posted an 8-5 record with a 3.08 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 25 appearances, including 18 starts. She began her collegiate career by leading the team with 66 strikeouts in 94.1 innings, finishing her freshman campaign with a 5-13 record and a 5.12 ERA across 30 games and 18 starts.
