The Volts are adding more heat to the circle with the signing of reserve pitcher Miranda Stoddard, a two-way force and Arizona graduate.

Stoddard will add strength to the team as an option in the circle to start the Athletes Unlimited Softball League season.

Stoddard is fresh off a dominant 2025 season, where she went 15-0 with a 1.73 ERA across 33 appearances (22 starts). She tossed 105 innings, tallied 48 strikeouts, and picked up a save. After not logging a single at-bat in 2024, Stoddard exploded at the plate this year, launching 15 home runs while batting .348 with 40 runs scored and 27 walks.

Her standout season earned her first-team All-Big 12 honors and her first career NFCA All-Region nod. A transfer from Kentucky, Stoddard wrapped up her Arizona tenure as the team’s most-used starter in 2024 (23 starts), tying the school record with 3 saves and notching a career-high 50 strikeouts.

Now, the Anaheim native joins a talented Volts pitching staff that includes Rachel Garcia (UCLA, 2021), Mariah Mazon (Oregon State, 2022), and Payton Gottshall (Tennessee, 2024).

Stoddard helped lead Arizona to a 48-13 record and a Tucson Regional final this spring, and is sure to add another competitive right-handed option to the Volts’ pitching rotation. The Volts open the season against the Blaze at Wilkins Stadium in Wichita, Kan., on June 7.
