Danieca Coffey

Personal: Coffey is the daughter of Daniel and Kameca Coffey. She is one of three children in her family. Coffey participated in theater during high school. She has a cat named Cleo. Coffey says Kelsey Stewart-Hunter is one of her idols because of the way she plays softball. Coffey lists meeting former Tennessee softball player Tori Lewis when she was in the seventh grade as a time when she felt starstruck.

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Coffey collected 1,140 leaderboard points, earning fifth place in the final league standings. She accumulated 900 win points and 200 stat points and posted seven games with 100 or more leaderboard points, tying for second place in the league. Coffey opened the season with five consecutive games scoring 100 or more points and surpassed 150 points in a game on four occasions. She served as team captain in Series Three, posting a 1-2 record, and started all 10 games. Coffey ranked fifth in the league with a .344 batting average, shared second place with eight runs scored and six walks, finished third with 11 hits, and tied for fourth with 32 at-bats. She recorded at least one hit in seven of her 10 games, including three multi-hit efforts. Coffey registered a season-high three hits against Team Coffel on August 29, earning MVP 2 distinction and 160 leaderboard points. She closed Series Two with back-to-back two-hit games against Team Kowalik and Team Netz and hit a solo home run against Team Kowalik on August 25.


2025 AUSL Regular Season: Coffey, a talented rookie, started 21 of 24 games while making her professional debut with the Volts. She posted a .283 batting average with 17 hits, including three doubles and one home run. Coffey tied for seventh in the AUSL with nine walks and also contributed seven runs scored and 11 RBIs. She went 2-for-4 in stolen base attempts and hit safely in four consecutive games from June 8 to June 13. Coffey collected three hits, including a double, with three RBIs against the Blaze on June 8. She added two hits with a run scored in the series opener against the Bandits on June 12. She recorded a two-hit performance, including a double and her first career home run, with two runs scored and three RBIs against the Blaze on June 18. Coffey also tallied two hits with a run scored and a walk against the Blaze on July 11.

At LSU: Coffey is a five-year letter winner at LSU. She appeared in 231 games from 2021 to 2025. Coffey is a three-time NFCA All-Region selection who ended her college career with a .366 batting average. She accumulated 255 hits. Coffey collected seven home runs with 105 career runs batted in. She also tallied 32 doubles and 10 triples. Coffey stole 41 bases in 49 career attempts. She is a First-Team NFCA All-Gulf Region performer as a redshirt senior. Coffey also claimed a spot on the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team. She authored a .388 batting average while appearing in 58 games. Coffey tallied 69 hits, including a career-high 11 doubles, with 55 runs scored during her final college season. She drove in a season-high five runs against Weber State on March 1, 2025, after going 2-for-3 with a home run. Coffey also hit a home run with a triple against Southern Mississippi on February 22, 2025. She opened the season with a 14-game hitting streak, including seven multi-hit contests. Coffey was a starter in the first 16 games as a senior before suffering a season-ending injury. She posted a .404 batting average prior to her injury with 16 runs scored and 11 runs batted in. Coffey also tallied two home runs and two triples. She claimed First-Team NFCA All-Region status as a junior after starting all 59 games at third base. Coffey paced the Tigers with a .392 batting average and 74 hits. She also stole a team-high 12 bases while fashioning a .482 on-base percentage. Coffey furnished a team-high 24 multi-hit outings, including eight three-hit affairs. She received Second-Team All-SEC and NFCA All-Region plaudits as a sophomore after logging a team-high .379 batting average with 72 hits. Coffey totaled 21 multi-hit contests during the 2022 season while logging a team-high 14-game hitting streak. She belted a grand slam in the regular season finale at Mississippi State on May 8, 2022. Coffey opened her college career by making 41 appearances as a freshman, including 31 starts. She tallied 21 hits, including three doubles and one triple, while driving in six runs.
