2024 Women’s Professional Fastpitch Champion

Personal: Show is the daughter of Mark and Carrie Show, and she has three siblings. She earned Gatorade Texas Player of the Year honors as a sophomore at Pearland High School and studied agricultural leadership at Oklahoma State. Samantha was born in Houston, Texas.

2021 Championship Season: Show finished in 27th place on the final leaderboard with 1,162 points, including 1,050 win points. As a pitcher, she posted a 9.33 earned run average with three strikeouts in 3.0 innings. As a hitter, Show appeared in 13 games with nine starts, compiling a .156 batting average. She hit one home run and drove in four runs, including a 2-for-4 performance at the plate with a double and a home run against Team Vidales on September 5, 2021. Show also struck out three times in the circle over 3.0 innings during that game. Her season-high leaderboard points came in the season finale against Team Eberle, where she drove in two runs and scored one. She surpassed 100 leaderboard points in a game seven times during the season.


2020 Championship Season: In her first season with Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball, Show placed 21st with 1,368 leaderboard points, including 920 win points and 328 stat points. She made seven appearances, two as a starter, in the circle, posting a 0-2 record with a 13.10 earned run average over 10.0 innings and five strikeouts. As a hitter, Show posted a .306 average with five home runs and 11 runs batted in, collecting 15 hits, including two doubles. She hit home runs in back-to-back games against Team Pendley and Team Fagan to start the season. Show also slugged a three-run home run against Team Osterman and blasted two home runs in a 3-for-4 performance against Team Reed in Week Four. She earned 100 or more leaderboard points in 7-of-15 games, with three outings resulting in 200 or more points.


Other Professional Experience: Show helped lead the Texas Smoke to the 2024 Women’s Professional Fastpitch championship and earned a spot on the 2024 WPF All-Star Team. She also spent two years with the USSSA Pride and began her professional career with Scrap Yard Fast Pitch in 2019.

College Experience: Show was a three-year letter winner at Texas A&M before finishing her college career at Oklahoma State. She was a three-time NFCA All-Region First Team selection and earned Third-Team NFCA All-America honors as a senior at Oklahoma State, helping the Cowgirls reach the 2019 NCAA Women’s College World Series. In her career, she made 134 appearances in the circle, 107 of which were starts, posting a 2.71 earned run average with 484 strikeouts over 642.2 innings. Show also boasted a .300 career average as a hitter, accumulating 43 home runs and 151 runs batted in. In her lone season at Oklahoma State, she recorded a 2.34 earned run average with a 22-10 record, two saves, and hit .333 with 20 home runs. Show’s time at Texas A&M included a 2.88 earned run average and a 56-22 record with 366 strikeouts.
