If softball legend and AUSL advisor Jennie Finch stepped back into the circle, there’s one hitter she’d want to test herself against: Portland Cascade utility player Megan Grant.
Finch joined the TV broadcast during an AUSL All-Star Cup matchup between Team Kilfoyl and Team Flippen and was asked which batter she wouldn’t want to face. Finch named Grant, but admitted that the competitive side of her would still want to face the Cascade rookie.
“Megan Grant, because I feel like there’s no weakness in her,” Finch said. “There’s no zone that she cannot attack and hit it out, you know. Not only hit it, but hit it out.”

Grant finished second in the AUSL with 10 home runs this season before leading all players with four homers during the month-long All-Star Cup.
