Athletes Unlimited Softball League stars Rachel Garcia and Jordan Woolery traveled to Mumbai, India, for the inaugural MLBx: Mumbai competition, where they joined former Major League Baseball players and Indian cricket stars for a unique sporting crossover on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026.
The Texas Volts’ Garcia and Utah Talons’ Woolery made the most of their time in India, exploring Mumbai, trying their hand at cricket and sharing their softball knowledge with young athletes at a youth clinic. The two also participated in practice sessions ahead of Saturday’s competition and spent time interacting with fans and their MLBx teammates.
The trip culminated with Garcia earning MVP honors as her New York Yankees squad defeated Woolery’s Los Angeles Dodgers team in the MLBx championship.
