Team Klingler secured two wins in Series 2 of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) All-Star Cup, the latest a 2-1 victory over Team Brown.
The win was locked in by the first inning when Sharlize Palacios lifted a homer over the left field wall to put two runs on the board. She brought around Sydney McKinney, who led off the inning with a single up the middle. Those were the only two hits Team Klingler registered in the game.
Team Brown had a late effort in the seventh with Delanie Wisz reaching on a scoring era. Kenleigh Cahalan hit a sacrifice fly to put the team on the board but they couldn’t muster any more.
They swept the win points again, picking up 130 win points in the outing. Team Klingler did the same on Friday night against Team Ricketts, surging much of this roster up the leaderboard.
Georgina Corrick got the start in the circle for the group in gold, throwing 5.1 innings and allowing only three hits, no earned runs or walks while striking out five. Lexi Kilfoyl entered to close it out and only gave up one hit in her 1.2 innings pitched.
Klingler’s squad was backed by solid defense again, highlighted by a diving catch from outfielder Jadelyn Allchin that proved why she’s a candidate for the 2026 Rawlings Gold Glove.
Team Klingler finishes the series 2-0, while Team Ricketts and Team Brown will have to duke it out on Sunday for a game win. Tune in on MLB Network at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET on Aug. 16.
